Manchester Digital's Tech Leader Talks, sponsored by Slalom, offers the opportunity for senior leaders in large-scale digital and tech businesses here in the North West to come together to network, share best practices and make new connections.

For our next event, we'll be joined by Richard Corbridge, Chief Digital Information Officer at DWP Digital, Danielle Haguedal-Wilson, Head of Strategy, Performance and Governance for Digital, Technology and Data at Co-op, Jason Hughes, Chapter Head for Site Reliability Engineering at Jaguar Land Rover, and Mikey Smith, CTO at Money Supermarket.

This event will be in the format of a networking event with complimentary drinks and canapés for attendees followed by a Q&A session with Richard, Danielle, Jason and Mikey, led by Triin Sober, Senior Principal in the Data and Analytics Team at Slalom. The session will be introduced by Manchester Digital board member Rachel Tsang, Deputy Director, Digital Identity at Government Digital Service.

Richard Corbridge 

Chief Digital Information Officer

Richard Corbridge is DWP Digital’s Chief Digital Information Office (CDIO) joining the Digital group in the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) in April 2023. A globally recognised expert in digital technology and its application to a diverse set of business. He has over 25 years’ experience in diverse CIO roles across the healthcare, research, and retail sectors. Richard has a passion for innovation, business change and benefits management. As a leader he insists on a focus on engagement and benefits being brought to all technology implementations. 


Danielle Haguedal-Wilson   

Head of Strategy, Performance and Governance for Digital, Technology and Data
Co-op

Danielle has worked in the digital, data technology sector for over 20 years and is Head of Strategy, Performance and Governance for Digital, Technology and Data at the 150 year old Co-op. Danielle has been part of the digital space at the Co-op since 2001 and has worked across a multitude of sectors. Alongside her career in Technology Danielle is an advocate and practitioner of  Wardley Mapping. Danielle is a prominent figure in the North West Technology community, regularly speaking, running events and judging technology competitions locally and globally. A well-known passionate, active champion of diversity in digital, data and technology. 

Jason Hughes   

Chapter Head for SRE
Jaguar Land Rover

Jason has been leading the SRE culture shift at Jaguar Land Rover for the past 4.5 years. From starting with a single engineer to growing the team to 24 members (and counting), Jason has played a pivotal role in shaping the SRE landscape at the company. With a diverse background that includes being a VMware technical trainer to a DevOps consultant, Jason brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the table.

Mikey Smith     

Chief Technology Officer
Money Supermarket

Mikey is a Software Engineering Leader with over 23 years of developing and designing software in various industries from retail to finance. He has led up to 84 colleagues and scaled out successfully to improve focus with a proven track record of consistent project delivery.

Rachel Tsang     

Deputy Director, Digital Identity
Government Digital Service

Rachel Tsang is a Manchester Digital board member and is a Deputy Director at the Government Digital Service (GDS), responsible for live service operations for GOV.UK One Login. Prior to this, Rachel was a Deputy Director for GOV.UK and has held a number of digital, programme delivery, policy and strategy roles across government including HM Treasury, Department for Education, Government Equalities Office, Ministry of Justice and Department for Work and Pensions.

Triin Sober 

Senior Principal
Slalom

Triin leads Slalom’s data strategy, governance and analytics team in Manchester with experience working in data focused roles across multiple countries and industries. With a passion for data, Triin enjoys collaborating with clients to understand how data can help in achieving business goals and creating an approach to change that focuses on people as well as technology.
